Street Outlaw cars can run a high 3 second pass in the 1/8, that is a 6 second 1/4.

With a Pontiac, when you are 7's and below that is a real fast race Pontiac.
This is the race section. I have no dog in this fight but the plumber's car you speak of runs 7's. Few on here should comment unless you are one of the elite. That is just my feeling, so I have no comment on what head is the best. Each head manufacturer has some fast cars.

I really don’t mind if someone has a slower car.

We all start out somewhere.

I still remember my first pass: 13.53@105 on 255-60-15 Goodyear Eagle St.
I was hooked from that day forward.

It’s all in good fun.

I'm thinking that 9.7 to 10.0 is not exactly an "average" street car, if its N/A and really a street car. The Street Outlaws cars are nowhere near real street cars. There are only a few NA Pontiacs capable or low 8s high 7s. And maybe a handful more that can do it with a power adder.

Demons Run 9's, Corvettes with mild mods run 9's, Just about every car with a super charger/ turbo charger 10's and lower.

When you run 7"s and 6's, you really have to know your stuff, if the tune is off, you break stuff. Cars like that are a different than a 9-10 second street car.

9's now are like the old 11's!!!

I would like to see Street Outlaws but without all the pure race cars. I mean, real honest to goodness street cars. Solid blocks, tube frames ect, don't like it.
Its just a who has the most money, best sponsors just like pro racing is.
Because it is pro racing.

I like the slower cars too Right now I have no desire to go faster. My car can scare me on the street now.

... "" Man, you go on ahead, i ain't got nothing for this car, you know that"" ...

... then after Robin basically said WTF ?? What about all that trash you were talking man ?? ...

... you said ""man, that's just the internet man, you know how that chit goes, it's just the internet man"" ...

... yeah, it really is all in good fun 10yrs later right Jack ?? ...

... all we want to know is are you coming to Norwalk this year with your car ?? ... because we are ... please insert your BS excuses below ...

No you have it twisted again.

I ran 8.38 two weeks before Norwalk, changed the front springs throwing the suspension out of sorts. Robin only ran high 40s at Norwalk.
I told Robin I could not race him because I had to get the suspension taken care of.

Chit, he never even got that CVwhat junk in the 7s

Yea, it’s been 10 years of CV1 propaganda.
A lot of BS and talk but nothing to show for it!

Didn’t Robin just sell one of those POS CVwhat motors a few days ago?
I guess he has a few?

It’s a shame Robin could not go 7s in a 160# lighter car with a canted valve head.

And a old 1960s design dinosaur E head did it.

What compression difference? No way you could have run pump gas and gone cruising. Yeah he ran race gas at the track. It doesn't change the fact that he had lower compression .

And here you are thowin the weight excuse(everybody's lighter and has bigger tires according to your excuses) out there...

You still haven't answered Bill if you're going to be racing at Norwalk.

I have a heads up race back here at a series that Billy and I race the same weekend as Norwalk.
