I installed the ram air manifolds on my 68. Went to install the tube that bolts to the head to rout the wires to the starter, but the tube does not fit now. How do I rout the wires now to the starter now?
Thanks

I did the same on mine. You need part N179EK in the Ames catalog to replace the standard tube for non-RA exhaust manifolds. The positive cable is routed different. Check the assembly manual for diagrams.

Don't run the harness through the tube that mounts to the motor mount if you plan to drive you car. It puts the positive battery cable right next to the manifold and can short out causing a fire hazard. I ran mine this way for the last 7-8 years for correctness and recently took the starter down to find that the end of the covering on positive cable had melted off and the bare wires were exposed and corroded. I narrowly avoided a disaster. Much safer to run the harness and cable between the frame and the oil pan to keep the wiring off the manifold.

You’re welcome. Here’s the diagram from the assembly manual in case you don’t have handy.
