Default steering box build date?

was wondering if the steering box has a build date to the car or just a general build date?trying to see if the one in my 69 is orig to car or not , has 092 Q stamped in top cover,thanks.

I believe the build date on the steering box cover is related solely to its manufacture and not the date it was installed on the car. I don't know this, just seems logical and I've never seen or read anything to the contrary.

I would say no

thats aprrox april 2 nd 1970 the info your supplying

your Q is probably a 0

its that julian date thing again ...
I have a few 68 and 69 boxes if your looking for a date correct box
how many turns lock to lock is yours ...the 3 1/4 is what I like

thanks scott, seems this isn't the right one then I will use my 73 ta 2 3/4 turn quick ratio box then.if I should change my mind ill let u know thanks.
