It looks like to me you have idle bypass holes drilled in the baseplate and holes in the butterflies. That's a lot of extra air, maybe that's part of the problem?

I don’t know. I sent Cliff a picture before I drilled out the idle bypass but didn’t hear back from him. Hope I didn’t make it worse by moving forward anyway.
