Everyone has a right to privacy. To disclose any information on a public forum is entirely the prerogative of the person holding that information.
Often price can be sensitive around the time of purchase for multiple reasons but as time passes that sensitivity often wanes. Sometimes people pay what they think is a premium just to get something they desire but they might imagine that others might consider them foolish for paying that premium. Then as time passes, it does not really matter so much and if the purchase price is questioned later, the buyer may well think he has bought well and readily discloses the price.
No-one knows more than me that I have overpaid a price sometimes but I am invariably pleased with what I bought. But why tell if really its no one else's business.
