Retired 25 years as a Navy Seabee Chief Construction Electrician. (10 Active Duty, 15 Reserve). Also did 11 years as a diesel locomotive electrician / supervisor with Southern Pacific and Amtrak. For 29 years before I retired last year I worked for the San Diego Trolley transit agency as a Light Rail Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor / Project Manager. I designed and managed upgrades to the rail vehicles, shop equipment, and the restoration of two 1946 PCC rail transit cars that are used in service along side the latest Siemens vehicles. Had many offers for consulting after I retired but 50 plus years is enough. Retirement is sweet.

Retired after 35 yrs from American Electric Power(Ohio).
Body work on the side during that time now bodywork almost everyday. Crazy, but I guess I like it!

Matt man I've been where you are going. I'm 70. Good for you. It's hard work but rewarding.Always do your best,flashing,nailing,(we liked hand nailing).Do not use wooden posts for pumpjacks. They can break I know. We where being watched by our guardian angel.Clicking your fingers is not fast enough when an accident happens. When you are tired! Plan your moves my dad would always say.
