Good progress!!

Please be careful with the front spring install into the subframe with it out of the car!! It did mine that way and it was an absolute bear even with two different style spring compressors!! Stay safe!!

I plan on mounting the frame back on the car, and resting an engine in the rails before I attempt to mount the springs.

Springs are probably me least favorite part of reassembly.

I did mine with the sub frame out. I pushed the spring into the lower arm like you normally would, then set it on my floor jack. If you chain the frame to the base of the floor jack, it doesn't allow the frame to lift.

He will. His shop is staffed with some of the most talented, professional people I've ever met. They've already gone above and beyond for me, and are doing killer work.

Just for reference, here's the trunk gaps the last body guy was responsible for. Yes the trunk lid was bolted on, and yes, the quarters were welded on like that:

Looks about like what a friend of mine got back after having a 1 piece rear clip section from a 4 door tempest installed on a 2 door GTO that was nailed hard in the azz.

Hard to comprehend how some people can get a result like that and think its going to be okay.
Maybe if it were a weekend circle track race car.

All I can do now is just shake my head. It would be funny if it wasn't for the wasted years and cash.

Hell I've had race cars and mud trucks that never had gaps like that. lol
