You may also think about aluminum rods, I have GRP’s in my opinion I wouldn’t run a supercharger without them also use Brad Penn oil it’s a must when using alcohol as fuel.

Just think George, an 88mm turbo on your car, you could go deep in the 7's and get rid of the 50 year old zoomie /blower look. Flat hood and 1 second faster with no other changes. It also will not hurt your bank book too bad.
Anyway again yes you can use those rods with a good bolt and get plenty of years from them.

Ignorant....that pretty harsh. There are a lot of parts out there I don't have on my car that are excellent.....your putting words in my mouth and not doing a very good job at it! You do know that if I put a bigger (10-71-14-71) roots supercharger id go quicker too....just saying! As for a 50 year old zooms and roots blower look .......its my choose, I think it looks cool and Turbos are BORING!!! Wake me up! LOL!!

You are right, I re read it, sounds harsh, sorry, but turbos are far from boring. Superchargers and turbos are ruling the drag strip. 7+8 second street driven cars are becoming normal. Hell 2 JZ Supras with 6 cylinders can go high 6's and drive drag week. Look around George, open your mind!

It depends how much money you have (piston changes or thicker head gaskets will work with e85) and what you plan on doing in the future. Anything done correctly will cost money, I didn't build my car/engine over night, think about what you really want to do in the future. Also remember with making HP comes safety equipment.....blower restraints.........engine diapers....trans/flywheel shields, etc.

If the engine was not apart, I might suggest trying a specially made Cometic gasket and keeping the boost really low.

Because the Engine is Apart, now is the time to seriously look at putting the right stuff into the engine and the vehicle. Could not agree more with this statement by George:

I had a similar engine with a tad smaller blower but running the same boost you want (6lbs). My e heads were around 320 I made 770 hp, oh yea I forgot I had a 455 anyway after running it s cooking of years finally getting my ETs down to 9 teens the bottom end let loose, it’s that I didn’t have an aftermarket block thing..........me bad! Just something to think about. I bought one shortly after!!

I guess I should have read it first before I posted it, point is gotta watch how much HP you wanna make with a stock block. If your gonna use a 400 block and keep the boost at only 6 lbs it looks like you should be ok I don’t see you making too much over 700hp with your combo.
