If things work out as they should....Believe your good traction ain't gonna be as good as it appeared to be. 1st and 2nd should rip right through the gears, with no need to rev it up and dump the clutch to make it spin.

Here's a pic of the car WE were working on. Since that pic I put the factory ram air pans on it and opened the snouts.

Broke the case on the Muncie dumping the clutch. That's why I have a Super Muncie now. What's a Super Muncie? It's a Muncie that has been rebuilt with a thicker case so you don't crack it when you use it behind a Pontiac V8! I recommend it to all who own Pontiacs with Muncies.
Here's a link to the Supercase;

You might consider the Voodoo 702
http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1775&gid=287

The Crower 60916 with 278/289 advertised compared to the Voodoo 702 with 262/268 advertised duration. Both have similar .050" duration (within 2 degrees on the intake) and both ground with a 112 lobe separation. The voodoo cam has 132/140 degrees ar .200" but I'll suggest you will not get that information from Crower for that important evaluation, like comparing the duration between .050" tappet lift and .200" tappet lift.

I didn't note the compression involved here. But note the Voodoo lobe has shorter seat timing and the all important additional valve lift over the Crower lobe, keeping this in mind where the cylinder heads will flow to.

VoodooTTFMF. Harold designed tech.

I fear the 702 could raise the cranking PSI over his current 190.
Personally I'd lean to the 703.

If I wanted 5500 RPM for a 400 engine I'd target .570 lift at the valve, the Voodoo gets ALOT closer.
