I'm kinda leaning towards someone seeing Glyptal in an engine and thinking it was paint....so they decided to 'paint' theirs too.... That looks just a little orange for Glyptal to me.

Yeah, if that's actually Glyptal I'd die of shock. My money's on the idjit who slapped all this together not even knowing what Glyptal is.

That is the crustiest, crappiest looking "rebuilt" engine I've ever seen. Pretty much an 'F' for effort.

Not really epic, but I'm seeing a skill testing question here...
If you know Chevelles, you'll know what's "wrong" in this pic

Red dash looks wrong. I always thought El Camino,s came with 12 bolt rears. Especially SS,s.

Not sure about the dash. The El Camino didn't become an SS until 68, so there's that. But what I'm looking at though is exterior, and prominently visible in that picture. An additional hint, that ElCamino is a 66.

Wrong hood. '66 had different style hood 'bumps'.

You got it. 66/67 Chevelle hoods don't interchange, so that 67 stuff was grafted onto a 66 hood.

Yes it is, nice looking hood, that took a bit of skill, I always like the 67 SS better.
