Yea, I know! I hate to quite something I love and am good at. Just been doing it since 1970 and I can’t accomplish anything more.......so. I’ll know more after this year but I’ve had a good run. Nothing written in stone yet.

WOW!! Congrats! My dad started at US Steel in the early 70's, after getting back from Vietnam. Worked at the Baytown, TX mill, which was relatively new at the time. Then one day in the mid-80's, the company and the union got cross, the company locked the gates and it never reopened.
Dad talked about transferring, seems like Gary, Indiana was the probably target. He got a job a chemical plant though, and stayed here. Sorry for the thread hijack, I've just never come across anyone that actually retired from USX!
