It’s cool to see there’s so many still around. I remember the ones I went to had a playground for the kids in front of the screen. These days that wouldn’t go over so well. Kids today are very coddled. But then there’s more weirdo’s out there now too.

Yep. The one in St. Joe, Michigan had that.

As recently as ten years ago, the one everyone called "the passion pit" in Hartford, MI was still open. It's real name was The Sunset Drive-In. How original.

Just checked mapquest satelite and everything is still there, including the speaker posts.
So I searched it by name: Yep, it's still in business.
It was built in 1948, so this website says it's one of the few remaining from before 1950.
