If you can't get it out using a paperclip and counterclockwise rotation, pushing in and wiggling it around using the key the only other option is to drill the lock cylinder. I've had to do it before (missing key) it's not a fun job.

I gave the tape a try but with no success so I went extreme and wedged a screw alongside of the key. The screw has a good bite and even pulling and wiggling with vise grips attached to the screw it still wont let loose. I think the switch would pull thru the dash before the cylinder lets loose.


Pete, I really did not want to resort to destroying the cylinder but it looks like I don't have a choice.
