Good info....they probably used a GTO with A/C and open rear end.

Don't forget, 1967 was the only year you could get a 2bbl carbed GTO too...

I stand corrected.

Never made sense to me why they ever built a 2bbl version. I would have respected a OHC 4bbl GTO more than the 2bbl.

Electric vehicles intrigue me. I considered purchasing an electric dirt bike due to environmental impact and a lot less maintenance on engine (top end rebuilds, oil changes, air filter cleaning etc). However they do not have the operating range I need before decreased performance because of battery drain.

Let's face it, if you grew up with musclecars it is the sound of a well cammed engine, the smell of high octane fuel, and the shaking and rattling that is so intoxicating to us! You just don't get that with an electric vehicle. Power yes, but so smooth and quiet it is rather "forgetable".

Ever consider the cost of a battery pack? Ever install a battery pack? I have.
