That's your opinion....CVjuans are the King Chit most Bad Azz to date NA power head on the planet. By far the Baddest most consistent head out there for a Pontiac.

My sister's grandmother's best friend that lived across the street from Grumpy the cat told me that's not true...but said not to say which head is the best... It's a secret.
But I think I'd consider running Tiger heads if I didn't have E-heads and Hi-ports and Super Duty heads and HO heads and Ram Air IV heads and Wenzler heads and factory Ram Air V heads...oh yeah that's right and some Tiger heads!

^^^Truth^^^
I'm selling the original engine out of my Super Duty Formula and replacing it with a 70 Stage 1 engine I like them so much. |

It was a lot of fun in the 80's and early 90's... You could hit the "strip" and pick up a race with ease.... it's very different now... Back then, you got a ticket at best but usually a good tongue thrashing from the cops and you were free to go.... |

For us, the Tiger head made much more horsepower, with much less work than the Edelbrock head. There were just many areas of the E-head that had thin, delicate cross sections. The Tiger head is taller and stiffer with more real estate everywhere for max porting without fear. No personal experience with KRE heads.

Great job to KRE for making 1000 hp. I think to critize the effort is senseless. Especially if you are living by the expectation that they are not great at head porting or engine development.( not my feelings, as I have no personal experience with them.) But, if that's the way another person sees their ability then that would make it even more impressive that KRE was able to get 1000 out of it. Then what would the best of the best ( read as BES, Marcella, etc ) be able to do? 1200-?? More?? Who knows. I didn't see a lot of details on the build. Just ported Super Wedge heads, 15 to 1 compression. So I wouldn't class this build as max effort anyway. Just an average build with good heads.

I agree, but some racers feel 91 Octane is all that is needed for bracket racing.

Why not? I had a 14 to 1 street engine at one point. Not intentionally but that's the way it all came out. I never said it was a bracket engine. Just not max effort. If setting it for max effort on NA I would think 17 or 18 to 1.
