Best.... 94 Lincoln Towncar and 2000 Jeep GC Laredo 4.7. The 79 Formula Firebird I bought new was a good car too.
Worst... the 2014 Ford Focus we're driving now. Noting but problems with the transmission clutches, even tho Ford fixes them for free under a 150,000 mile warranty they gave us.

Worst car: 1969 Chevelle. Rusted and messed with. Should not have been driving it. But I needed a car to get to whatever work I could find in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the 80's recession. Someone tried to switch the bench to buckets. I didn't go well they were loose. It was so rusted, I'll bet that the car was 20% lighter than when new. The whole car was rigged together and barely ran. Not good when you are trying to start it at -30.
Best car: A truck. My 2007 Tundra that I still have after 12 years and 200,000 miles and counting. Truly bulletproof, no squeaks or rattles, still looks great. Paid for since 2011. That's the best and most endearing quality. |

Worst car ever; 1957 Olds super 88: replaced 5 starters, 5 generators, 3 voltage reg, rear wheel bearing, radiator, carb, & an engine fire!!! got rid of it 3 weeks after I got married on a 1962 Le Mans 4 cly 4 barrel. Had that car for 10 years with 99,000 miles when it was finally too bad to keep. B est car, 1987 Ford Ranger STX V-6 5 speed had for 28 years.

Funny--My first car was a '57 Old's Super 88. As you may know, all the '57 Old's had camshaft failures due to too much spring pressure. Needing to replace that cam and lifters is what got me started on being a car guy. I remember we pulled the pan to clean it out, but the bearings looked OK, so we buttoned it up and ran it. Put J2 on it and sold it so I could buy my '64 GTO. Loved the Old's--but not as much as the GTO!!
