I liked the Bert Straus car. First time I noticed front lower valance with dip in it. Looks nice. Sure would've liked to 'hear' the Pontiac run.

I am also a fan of a Straus Astre. It is my favorite unblown Pontiac race car of all time. Earlier this year, I did some homework and was actually able to contact him! I have been in touch with Bert and his son ( most computer savvy ) and they were thrilled that I am a fan of his and his efforts. They have been answering questions I have had about the build, the car and when it ran, etc. I will be posting the stuff on my FB page. Here are some more pics. The Astre has 2 'versions' this is the original one. It started with a 4 speed and soon switched to a Lenco once they were available. Oh, there were 2 magazine articles on this very impressive Poncho race car.
