I always wondered if those tachs were for the passenger, I wish they would of put a tach in the driver could see while driving..

They are mounted to the left of the driver, perfect. Maybe you’re thinking of the console mounted vacuum gauges?

I've got a feeling the Canadian big cars with a console such as a Custom Sport or maybe a Grand Parisienne had the tach mounted in the console. It sort of laid down semi-flat rather than if (for example), someone mounted a tach into a vacuum gauge pod.
I have a '65 Parisienne brochure at home but its stored while we are doing some renovations so I can't get to it easily. Maybe someone else can dig one up?
