That is correct, and if you can't find a decent price in the automotive sector,
Lionel Trains used these as well and are usually price far less.

Yep, I just ordered two 257 flasher bulbs from a Lionel trains guy on ebay, he has tons of 14V stuff that supposedly matches if bulbs are hard to find.

I am definitely going to swap mine out; its not like I won't notice the BRAKE light when it is on (since I've never had it before) but flashing will be even cooler.
