After a bunch of delays the TKX is finally in the GTO. The issue that's come up is the shifter off set isn't quite right. It's the 2" left 1 inch down that it looks like everyone else is using. The shift porch is lined up with where the console will be. Any ideas as to why this is supposed to fit with a factory 4 speed console and it's this far off?

I use the White Lightening shifter for these swaps and never have an issue with the consoles. It has 5 offsets to choose from and each of those has multiple adjustments for literally several dozen positions for each offset chosen.

What shifter are you using?

I'm using the offset shift adapter that came with my TKX kit from modern driveline. It's 2 inches left and 1 inch down. That doesn't seem like enough. I'm wondering what others had to offset theirs with similar equipment in a 64-67
