Had to look up where Avoca was. I was the first membership VP in the WI Jaycees many years ago and have been to almost everywhere in WI. I must have been through it though, because I've taken 14 all the way to Madison before. I must have blinked when I drove through...

Weather shouldn't be much different than where you are. Only about 75 NW on Hwy 14.

One of the draws for me to La Crosse was Mt La Crosse for downhill skiing. I may be old, but I'm still active....

Yeah, if you blink you’d miss it.
I was meaning just exploring the area in the winter, as opposed to the summer. I like exploring the outdoors in the winter even more than the mosquito season.
I also still downhill ski. Not as much as when I was younger, but the younger generation doesn’t seem to get into it around here as compared to years ago. My kids will go if I drag them there, and it’s not as fun going by myself.
