I've went 1.36 60 ft and 9.97 on a 3 " 1350 u joint Strange chrome moly shaft , i really don't see the need for a 3 1/2" shaft? Unless its not chrome moly? Thats with a transbrake also, i think for a street car wouldnt have any issues at all.

I have a Strange Engineering CM DS with CM input and rear yokes. It is 3" and it is good to 7800 rpm and I shift at 6500 rpm. It is approximately 49" long. You have to spec a DS according to your max rpm and material of construction.
