Be sure you remove the two screws at the very forward top area of the console before you pull up on it. I’ve seen several where the person didn’t do that and bent and cracked the forward portion of the console trying to remove it while the two screws were holding it in.

If your glove box light and rear courtesy if you have one don't work now is a good time to fix them. Bob.
