Roger, have you ever used wire ferrels and a crimper for them? They install a compressed ferrel on stranded wire for easy insertion and good contact in control boxes that use the smalls screw lugs. I think they are code these days in Europe on stranded wire applications. I find they make modifications, removal etc. much easier.
