A bit more to it than just which engine makes the most power, if that was the case EVERYONE would tie for first place..... GTOGEORGE has won races with his Pontiac in open classes.

It's amazing what can be accomplished once the chair in front of the "keyboards" is vacated.

So are you saying that YOU think Chief's 482 edelbrock headed combo can be competitive against Yoman's Proline Hemi?

I think you know better than saying that.

GTO George
Ohio Valley Dragway, here in Ky...I've been driving a buddy's Chevy lately, with hopes that my 2+2 will be out this season...The Chevy is a 598 on 2 kits @ 2700lbs...We've been changing things around since we got it, but its already been a 5.33(8.35 in the 1/4) N/A...We run it in a local Pro Street class that requires only steel roof and quarters and no billet heads...It should run 4.80s on one kit this spring.

I'm shooting for mine to run 4.50s with twin 76s, and once its lined out with those, i'll put bigger turbos on it and expect it to run low 4.20s to mid teens...It'll be a drag week style car, with working AC...2900lbs with me in it.
