KRE shouldn’t even be in this conversation.

The fact is, you have a pair of Pom Poms with their logo on them...So, as a method of TEASING with you, I pointed out that you'd think the Marty rings were the best in the world if KRE used them...Remember George, i'm T E A S I N G you.

Marty’s rings could be great…..go use them and tell us.
I have my own head gasket set up also I pretty sure no one are using ARP2000 head studs in a Pontiac like me. I also changed my main stud nut set up, damn I’ve changed so much on my engine combo!
FYI……KRE always has my back so I will always have theirs!

I have one of those on my turbo setup IA2. The ring will cut its own groove to the head. Thats how it seals the bore. So when you remove the heads, u need to get it milled .005 to make it flat again.

I found me a way to get a set of special ARP2000 1/2” head studs that would work on my Hp heads.

George, are these the fasteners that can be affected from the oils on your hands? Some ARP fasteners you need to wear gloves when handling them.

You do not have to use gloves with ARP 2000 rods bolts on Molnar rods.
But the 700$ rod bolts for Crower billet rods require gloves. Not sure what the name/number those 700$ bolts are.

Just curious George why don't you use the high quality studs your pals at KRE sell?

I didn’t know they had any, as far as I know they use ( at best) a 8740 9/16” stud.

Marty's ring, will cut into the head on its own. That is how it seals as the rings are not flat on one side. It is raised on the outer wall of the rings and that is responsible for sealing.
