Haven’t gotten around to testing the speedo yet but I drove it by my estimate about 50 miles today and had no problems. Only thing I noticed is when it’s really warmed up sometimes I get some run on when I shut it off. Also when it’s cold (but not choke on) all I have to do is bump the key and it fires up. If I let it get hot it takes a little time to get it started again. Not bad just not as simple as short trip restarting. Is that probably timing? AC blows ice cold but it’s hard to overcome the 200 degree shifter hole in the floor. Hahaha

Refresh my memory on the type of trans?

Drive & driven gears need to match a certain range, if they don't match, the driven gear (plastic) can grind teeth off and it can slip.

Pull the speedo gear 'bullet' out of the trans and look at the driven gear, see if it's ground down. You can pull that out easy, just remove the cable and the retainer, and it comes right out.

Nevermind, I see now, there is only 1 drive gear for the TKO with the GM speedo adapter, and all driven gears are compatible.
