Default Peonies

Yes, they are a very durable plant for a pretty delicate flower. My Grandparents had a 3 acre field of peonies back in the 50's-60's. They harvested them for eventual sale in NYC. We still have descendants of those plants also. It never seems to fail to get a huge rainstorm within a few days of full bloom.

Tip: The root cluster will eventually get too crowded and the flowers will get smaller and smaller. So you need to break the cluster up and replant every 10 years or so.
