My father in law said the engine I was running was “too rowdy” maybe I can make him happier this way ��

First off very sorry to hear about the engine.

For all the neg comments about roller cams, I love mine too. More vacuum, more power, better idle in my case, so I know how you feel about wanting to save the cam.

What is your exhaust setup? I know I hated mine on my Bird. Went from a strait through design to a chambered designed to the Dynomax VT before I was happy with it. Even is you loose a few HP it may be worth your sanity.

My guess is there are a butt load more street engines with roller setups that don’t have blown out lifter bores than do. I wonder what the percentage is that have the lifter bores broken because of a roller cam.
