I know it's not a Pontiac, however 1954 Olds 324 with Hydamatic. Would that be a direct bolt in for now, until I rebuilt my 287?

quick update, I have purchased a 66 complete 326, looking for an automatic transmission next. I think I will go with a TH350, so I don't have to mess with rear gears.
