While I was dragging through some of the guitars I accumulated over the years, I pulled out my very first electric which I have never parted with. I wish I could have afforded a Fender Stratocaster but a kid with a paper route in 1966 bought what he could afford unless his parents had money. She's still in perfect condition too ...

I still got my 68 Les Paul custom I bought as a junior in high school in 1975. It’s insured for an insane amount of money now because it was one of 500 built in 1968.. I hear you on keeping your first real guitar, although this was my third at that point.
