There are many things you can do with a 11 box to make it Run like your 8. And be way less invasive.
If you get a new box. Before you open it, look at some videos on you tube about starting it WITHOUT a MICROSOFT " account" . You dont need a Microsoft account and if you just turn it on and create one, you'll be married to a lot of your data stored elsewhere, and " package" software crap you don't need. There are free alternatives to Microsoft office too. 10 and 11 run on " aps" like a phone, Not programs. Microsoft builds them so they are interdependent, as does Google. If you don't create an account you will retain much more control over this hungry for data monster.
