Exactly what I was thinking. My dad’s trawling motor battery is in a case just like that, strap and all.

I’m no expert on this but you could fab up some aluminum plates that fit into the bottom of the box, and bolt thru the trunk floor.

Or buy something like this:

And bolt that thru the box and floor.
