The problem is the shroud. If you have dual 14” fans the only air moving across the radiator is the two 14” circles. I even talked the the guys at the cold case tent at Norwalk and they agreed.

We have seen this happen but but it's not probable for this situation. He wasn't on the road for long enough. If this were true for every owner of a dual fan car/truck, there would be a LOT of angry hot running cars out there. The issue of air flow blockage at speed is a very unique and rare one.

We believe that problem has to do with the particular vehicle that has other air flows counter acting the fans air flow. Like air being rammed up from under the car and pushing back at the fans.

I'm not inclined to go that way at this point but if the owner wants to take off the shroud and try it, that's certainly an option.

btw, GTO shroud kits are dual 12" not dual 14". 12" is the biggest you can fit in a 24" wide radiator.
