Over the past few days I've replaced the passengers side parking lamp assembly for my 68 Catalina. The drivers side was replaced last year by the bodyshop after I had an unfortunate incident with a deer. I also cleaned and repainted the taillight housings with new gloss white paint, and upgraded the taillight bulbs from 1157 to 2357 for brighter brake lights, and the reverse lights were swapped from 1156 to 796 halogen bulbs. I've also replaced the quarter window weatherstripping, and I have new roof rail and door weatherstripping, but haven't had the time to replace those yet.

My neighbor got a few of us organized to go up to a cruise in about 50 miles north of here, at a supper club/ bar. Had a caravan of 6 going up. About 100 cars showed up. 97 degrees forecast today too. Gave me a chance to test my re-cored original radiator. Never went above 195 on the trip up, went to about 205 going up long hills on the trip back. Weather man was correct, it’s exactly 97 degrees, so I guess it passed the test.
Our group was the Chevelle down to the Galaxy 500. I also included my pick of the cruise in. I have a soft spot for GTX’s. I especially honest ones like this. It was greasy cool.

Took my 74 Bonne, 72 GT & 67 Wagon out for a nice ride today each. I dunno, maybe 100 miles total?
 The Wagon needed the ignition switch replaced (kept having to jumper across to start), so that was swapped followed by the obligatory test drive. Fixed!  The GT needed the rear brakes checked (maybe later this weekend), but ya' gotta drive it to listen, "are they really squeaking, or can I just stand on the throttle a little more to drown out that sound?"  Meanwhile, Bonne went to my shop and up on stands so I can work on the Speedo drive gear in the tail housing which has popped loose. I'll have her back on the road again next week.  Of course I forgot the action shots, but ya' know, just another day in Pontiac paradise!

Spray-bombed my hood - was a Marimba Red one but my car is Starlight Black. I shoulda kept the original, but swapped it many years ago for this perfect-condition one.

A buddy bought his smoke machine over tonight. My ‘63 LeMans started dying at idle, seems like a vacuum leak. No leaks found. On to plan B. What plan B is, I don’t know yet.
