Before I was drafted into the armed forces I had a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville, with a Grand Prix front end, 389 3 deuces, a four speed and factory reverberation unit in the trunk. Unfortunately it was in my parents backyard and disposed of by the time I returned.
Does anyone know if there were any others made like this as all was factory? Was this a special order or were there more made. I do miss that car. |

I doubt that it had a GP front end from the factory...if you know it was that way from new, I suppose it's possible the selling dealer put it on. The reverb was a dealer installed option that year, so that may be another clue to it having dealer modifications.

Agree.
Basically the front end was the same except for the parking lights in the grille of the GP. That was a fairly common "custom" mod back then. Dad was going to move the parking lights on our GTO into the grille, ala '66 and '67 GTO. Thankfully he never got around to doing that. K

Also - front end accident.
If a Bonne took a hit in the front then GP front end sheetmetal would be a suitable replacement. K
