You can go to www.ultimategto.com and use a dream car option that will show you all the 71's on their site that are Lauren Green.
About 16 or 17 across all nameplates and body styles that color.

You have one of the top color combos for a 71 GT-37
But its your choice

Default oil pump recommendation

I have pulled the pan and rod and main caps off my "new" engine... I am going to replace the oil pump and screen... Any recommendations on the oil pump? I see there are 60# rated and 80# rated pumps. Which would give me the best oil pressure on this Pontiac motor? This is a stock 2bbl 350 .

Would a Melling pump be the best?

Also, it appears the rope rear seal has been working well. Unfortunately it looks like I will have to have the rod journals turned. So crank will have to come out.

Okay--Thanks so much for the charts and the info! yes, the partial VIN matches the 160219 on my dash VIN plate.

WN I guess is one of multiple suffix used on various A body 71 250 HP w/4spd designated blocks. ... I see it in the chart listed for a 71 250 HP 350 w/4 speed and mine's a 3 speed but maybe in 71 they didn't differentiate between 3sp and 4 spd with regard to the suffix.

Thank you guys for your time and patience helping me figure out what I've got in these 2 engines. I really appreciate it!

Well, I bought a 76 557 block 400! Seems very solid. So extra motivation to get the rest of the car ready for the engine and hopefully fire it up by spring...maybe before.

Now I need to figure out what to do with the two 350's I have... The original and the one I bought last spring.

You might want to use a pair of the 350 heads on the 400 engine , for better compression ratio / power.
Unless the new 400 is already sitting on go.
It will probably just barely be around 8:1 comp ratio as-is.

Congrats on finding a suitable replacement engine

Yes, mine was factory crank, two piece, and likely un-prepared as hell...
