We've gained approximately 5 HP many times on dyno tests going from a water pump using a large factory drive pulley and switching to the Moroso electric. These were all on 550-650 HP engines... It's bit more complicated to test the Meziere but I'd assume it'd be about the same.

I recently replaced the stock water pump for a Meziere Electric water pump and got it on the rollers to see what the differences were. The results of switching to the Meziere Electric Water Pump are a little surprising. It didn't increase my peak horse power but I gained about 15 ft-lb of peak torque. The really impressive thing is how much it bumped up my HP & TQ under the curve. When I seen the results I was shocked. I guess getting the stock water pump load off of the main serpentine belt does make a big difference. At least on a Maggie setup. I have attached the comparative dyno runs to this post. The Red lines are the Meziere and the Blue lines are the Stock water pump. The tune was not changed at all between these two runs. The run conditions (Temp & Humidity) between the two runs were very close to one another as well. These Dyno results show the pure difference between the stock and Meziere water pumps. For these results the Meziere Electric Water Pump is well worth the $$$.


Me personally I've been using one for years. As eluded to when in slower traffic or at a stop sign they are circulating the water at their full rated gallons per hour. Whereas in many instances in the same situation a 'stock' water pump circulates less.
