Rain X is your friend.

I used straight Rain X for 10+ years on my bird, no wiper arms, and was only a minor problem in heavy down-pours at low speed. And that was for over 100k miles.

It helps when having a sub-standard wiper system or blades, and makes blades last longer. (As long as they don't rot out).
