Those were some dangerous days ... HP was outpacing handling and brakes by a huge margin.

But still my favorite era for motorcycles. Sold all of them (except one) when we moved to NZ.

I see your Katana had wire wheels on it, that's unusual. i sold mine a couple years ago.

Well spotted. It was a US model (GS1000SZ) but I liked to mod them so I fitted the wire wheels to mimic the NZ and Aus. Katana 'specials'. I actually sold that bike to the owner of Factory Five racing for his collection. When his agent turned up to pick the bike up, he saw my two CB1100F's and made me an offer for them as well. Fun times!
