I'm to cheap to go looking for an expensive tool. I often just solder on a ferrule from compression fitting. It's a little too big, so you then have to grind off some of it. I know it doesn't look OE but it is always hidden under the rubber tubing and probably behind a spring type hose camp.

Yes. I’ve put regular single flares in lines in the past, and it can be a pain to get the lines on. It doesn’t have to be perfectly like the bubble I pictured, but something to hold the rubber line in place.
This is what was coming out of my fuel pump, and then 2 1/2’ of rubber line to the filter, a liability! Rather have a tool, than rely on having fittings and such around that I always seem to be out of. Thanks everyone.

I have made hundreds of feet of fuel and brake line with the Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool. It's a little pricy but does it all. Double flare, ISO flare, quick disconnects, barbs, it does it all. 3/16-3/8".
