BOP rear question
Is a 10 bolt 8.2 rear end from a 1964 Buick Skylark the same as one from a 1964 GTO? I have a Buick one that I want to have built, and want to be sure the posi carrier and misc parts are going to fit

I'm not sure about all the 64-67 Buick 8.2's, but I have one from a 67 GS400 that is kind of weird.
They use the bigger axle bearings from the wagons, and they don't have the reinforcement ribs on the lower portion of the housing like the Pontiacs do. They will interchange, but there are some obvious differences. Jim Mino (Monzas) knows a lot about Buicks, but I haven't seen him posting on PY in a long time. Brian Trick does a lot of those too. Those guys are both on V8Buick.com

However Jim Mitschke (PY member monzaz) who is the rear end expert is alive and well. Send him an email and I’m sure he’ll be able to help answer your questions. J D Race and Restoration Richfield, Oh JDRACE3@GMAIL.COM Jim’s member profile: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...r.php?u=136744
