I think prolonged use of 4-8ohm speakers can be an issue.
But have never had any issues using them to test with.

This Barrier Blue GTO TriPower Convertible is going up for sale this Saturday at Mecum Auction in Florida.
Not much advance notice on that.

No engine or chassis pictures , and no detailed description.
Anyone have a good guess how much it might bid up to ?

this is the Gto that I mentioned a couple years ago Which you help me with some good details It is family owned true one owner , never for sale since new. The car was bought in Georgia. He was transferred to Pennsylvania and then moved to Florida back in the late 70s.. its complete survivor. Original paint original top original interior original matching number motors which you help me verify! Also has original gear shifter knob all major components are original. The car has no factory options at all, except the radio and hi torque rear end . No AC no ps and no pb . We cleaned up the engine. Bay did a valve job rebuild the carburetors brake lines, new gas tank and brakes. Other than that the car is 100% original as it was from the factory other than the dealer install tack in 1967 that my uncle had put in , I did change the radiator, and starter and the fan clutch however in the sale we will be including the original radiator and the starter. The also has the original spare all this stuff has been discussed in previous threads and I sent the Build sheet in as well which I will be happy to include if anyone’s interested, wish me luck on Saturday !!! If anyone’s interested, and it doesn’t sell, feel free to reach out because there is a heavy auction commission that might hamper our decision to sell. As soon as I get home I’ll include vin and build sheet which is in my post somewhere.. thank you !! 🙏

Think I would have gone into more detail with the Mecum description.

I'm not sure very many will realize how original and authentic it actually is just by reading the Mecum description or by just glancing at it.

I think Mecum has stipulations in their contract about selling a vehicle within a certain time Before the event - and a certain time After the event.
As in they still expect a cut .
Not sure they have any way to really know after the car leaves the concluded event.

Thank you sir I’ve already reached out to them to I guess they call my sales ambassador to update the description ASAP. I did have a gentleman a few months ago who is really serious about the car and I lost his number. Hopefully, he’ll if the car doesn’t sell, he offered a fair price or at least very close to what we were hoping for we’ll see. But I do want to thank you for all the help you provided in the process. It was very Informative and I learned a lot because of you thank you.

This car just went through Mecum again this week .
Sold for $61,000 plus 10% = 67,100

Rally Ones and rear coil spring spacers and it would be a 90k car . imo
All #s Convertible WS TriPower 4spd with pretty decent original factory paint.
Original top and interior.

Curb appeal was still the same miserable poverty caps and sagging rear end.
Might have been 15" wheels on it , I can't remember what Tedd put on it now.
