If you are planning on only tracking the car....get the car on a diet. Every 100 lbs will get you quicker.

Glass hood
Gut the interior....all the seats ( i leave the carpet in and use a race style seat. huge
cut out the door guards
drop bumpers and replace with glass
remove exhaust system
replace side glass with lexan
remove front wheel wells.
Take off stuff like wiper motors etc
convert engine to electric waterpump.
Install electric fuel pump

AND get a holly carb for your engine. Im gonna get flammed here, but at the track its way easier to jet up/down, ajust air bleeds etc between rounds
Remove front sway bar
replace brakes with light weight discs with good calipers
light weight wheels
grind off the old rust prventative
replace fuel tank with 5 gallon cell
move battery to the trunk
add a light weight starter
consider removing the alternator and charging the battery between rounds

500 lbs will get you a half second in the 1320
