This combo (minus the zero deck) was close to what was in my very first car, a 1966 GTO. The guy who sold it to me had blown up the 389 and got the 400 out of a Catalina for $150. I put a tripower on it and left the 066 cam in place and the car was brutally quick. (3:55 gears/4 speed). Ran really, really strong. Someone had done the studs and poly locks on the heads when it was still in the Catalina. Go figure.
