Never been to a car wash, never had my car detailed.

The day I can't clean and do my own maintenance is that day I'm selling all of my vehicles.

I’d rather be playing with the GF and drinking wine that washing a bunch of cars.

Neither have I, but may have degreased/cleaned more than a few used engines/transmissions in the bed of my pickup at self-serve carwashes over the years.
