Liberal coat of LPS 3 for storage. Then bag it and something to keep mice away.

When I was in high school I worked part time at a Datsun dealer and I used to help cleaning the cars that were shipped from Japan by boat. They used cosmoline as a protectorate, especially over the chrome. All the things we tried nothing worked well for cutting it except elbow grease. Fine steel wool and a lot of scrubbing with solvents, but we never ran across anything that really dissolved it.

We tried, diesel/kerosene, gasoline, lacquer thinner, enamel reducer, and some I can't recall off the top of my head, none would cut into it. My father worked at the Datsun dealer also, and he was in Pearl Harbor during the second WW, he had the same trouble when he worked in the motor pool over there getting it off of metal parts.

I would never use it because of the difficulty removing it. It is really difficult to remove once it dries.

As soon as it’s here I’ll be sure to post it in the 70-72 section, comes with full documentation but I purchased the PHS package as well.
