I have had 0 come backs after being soldered. I get what you are saying, I'm just saying I don't think it's as big of a deal as it might come off as. I also realize that wire splices in the automotive industry are just copper wires twisted together and then heat-shrink / epoxy tube covering it but I have seen where these are problematic and soldering it fixes it. So I don't know... I'll just keep doing what has always worked for me over the decades. I also used solder with lead in it because the lead free stuff doesn't work.
