When Mike made his post about turning your mocked up engine over by hand with cam and lifters without lube and looking for lifter rotation......... that seems to be the way to go from here on out.

After having 2 HFT cams with issues on separate lobes, I wouldn’t consider using another HFT cam in this engine unless the cam was Nitrided. I think Paul K may have a Nitrided Crower 60919 floating around yet in his collection, see if he still has it, put the Crower cam savers on it and get back to enjoying your car.
