Incredible legacy. Even 60 years later, his work still stands as some of the most lush and harmonic soundscapes created.
I've always thought Pet Sounds and Smiley Smile were interesting albums side by side. One is the peak of his creativity and the other is the fallout of the pressure he put on himself to deliver something even greater.

He was great live, right up to near the end of his life. My wife and I saw him about 5 years ago in a 3500 seat amphitheater. Fantastic show. He was still such a perfectionist. Best friend of mine lived across the street from the venue. He said Brian worked on the set and the sound check for over 3 hours before the show. RIP, one of the greatest pop/rock artists and producers ever.
